New LED Ground Fault Receptacle Available from Bryant®
Bryant
announced its new LED ground fault receptacle (GFR®) offers
more than just a simple LED power indication light.
Under normal operating conditions, the LED indicator is off. Unlike competitive
devices however, the Bryant LED GFR® receptacles cycle
through a complete functional test when the test button is pushed and
will return a flashing red LED if the ground fault protection is compromised.
This flashing LED is also used as an end-of-life indicator for the receptacle.
Similar to the standard Bryant GFR®, the LED version also
provides "convenience power" at the face of the receptacle if ground fault
protection is compromised. The benefit of having convenience power is
that it helps prevent unsafe practices typically employed by end-users
while the device is out of service and waiting to be replaced.
Additional product features include:
- Mis-wire protection: No power at the face or downstream loads if the
device is improperly wired.
- Compact Size: More room to allow for quick and easy wiring
- Meets UL943 surge testing (3kA, 6kV) without having to resort to an
inoperative power condition which "locks-out" the end user.
- Available in 20A blank face.
Bryant's new LED ground fault receptacle is also available in 50 piece
bulk pack. For additional information on the new LED GFR®,
