Bryant Electric announced an expanded line of duplex surge receptacles designed to meet virtually any surge receptacle specification.

The compact, feature-rich receptacles contain two 22mm MOVs providing 240 Joules of surge protection in each mode and a clamping voltage of 400V. The printed circuit board is an all-glass construction with a conformal coating and nylon shield to maximize moisture resistance and corrosion immunity. The high impact nylon face is home to a distinctive "surge symbol" to help the user quickly identify the receptacle as a surge suppression device.

An indicator light illuminates to confirm power at the device, but flashes when the surge protection has been compromised. A mutable alarm compliments the light by sounding when damage to the surge protection circuitry is detected.

Standard features on the receptacle include external back-wire terminations with "U" shaped wire clamps designed for neat and efficient bundling of stranded wire, automatic grounding clip and tandem bypass contacts for the ultimate in contact pressure with lower operating temperatures. Available in Industrial Grade (IG and non-IG) and Hospital grade. Colors include Blue, Ivory, White, Gray, Almond (Industrial Grade Only) and Orange (IG only).
